Rowan weather: Showers and storms possible the rest of the week

Today will be partly sunny and 88, with south southwest wind around 5 mph in the afternoon. It is a Code Yellow air quality day for both ozone and particle pollution.

Thursday will start with patchy fog, then be partly sunny and 88, with light and variable wind. There will be a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Little accumulation is expected.

Thursday night will also have a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly before 2 a.m. It will be cloudy and 67 with calm wind. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible.

Friday will have a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, starting after 10 a.m. Some storms could drop heavy rainfall. It will be mostly cloudy and 84 with light wind.

Friday night has the same chance of rain, with thunderstorms tapering off around 11, and showers through 5 a.m. Again, heavy rainfall is possible. It will be cloudy and 66.

The weekend will also have a good chance of rain.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy and 84. There’s a 60 percent chance of showers before 11 a.m., then showers and isolated storms through 1 p.m., then more storms in the afternoon.
