CHERRYVILLE — Randolph County beat Cherryville  5-4 late Sunday night and finished 2-1 in the Stars Pool.

Randolph and Cherryville finished 2-1, while Union County and Kinston were 1-2.

Randolph Post 45 (32-8) advanced to a Monday semifinal against Fuquay-Varina (24-5) at 4:30 p.m.

Davidson County lost 7-1 to Wilmington on Sunday and went 0-3 in Stripes Pool play. Davidson finished the season 20-12.

The Stripes Pool had three teams with 2-1 records. Wilmington and Fuquay-Varina advanced. The Gaston Braves went 2-1 but were the odd team out after a runs allowed tiebreaker was employed.

Wilmington (21-2) plays Cherryville (29-11) on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. in a semifinal.
