School Justice Kickoff: Keep Kids in School & Out of Court

A community wide event kicks off Rowan County’s NC School Justice Partnership. Attend to support collaboration with the NC Courts to keep students in school and out of court.
Held at Salisbury Civic Center, 315 S. MLK Jr. Ave.
School justice partnerships:
• Establish equity in schools and courts
• Involve diverse community leaders and stakeholders
• Reduce suspensions and court referrals
• Keep students on track and accountable
• Increase achievement and graduation rates
Keynote speakers are Adam Sotak, NC Child Public Engagement director; and Rocky Cabagnot, executive director of Salisbury-Rowan Community Action Agency.
Entertainment includes the Jubilee Choir, Salisbury Kings & Queens and Triple Threat Dance.
Grassroots community groups, elected officials, local leaders and agencies will be recognized for their actions to eliminate disparity and improve life for all citizens in Rowan County.
