This past week, Salisbury lost one of its most distinguished citizens with the passing of Joe Rutledge.

Those of us who had the pleasure and privledge of knowing Joe will remember him as one of Salisbury’s last, true gentlemen.

Not only did he have a distinguished career in the banking industry as president of Security Bank and Trust Company, but he was also a dedicated civic leader who helped to make Salisbury a better place. for those of us who knew and loved Joe, we will miss him. For those who did not know him, you will surely benefit from his many contributions to our community.
