Blotter: Man wearing cowboy hat, boots attempts ABC break-in

SALISBURY — A man wearing a cowboy hat, boots and pajamas and carrying a black briefcase tried to break into a local ABC store, according to the Salisbury Police Department.

The man was caught on surveillance camera at 5:57 a.m. Friday using a dumbbell to try to break a store window. The window was shattered but not broken, a report said.

In other Salisbury police reports:

• A woman reported a stolen vehicle Wednesday in the 500 block of East Innes Street.

• A man reported a larceny Wednesday in 100 block of East Horah Street.

• A man reported Wednesday that his belongings were stolen from his vehicle in the 1600 block of South Jake Alexander Boulevard.

• A man reported Wednesday that someone stole belongings from his vehicle parked at the Hurley Family YMCA.

• A woman reported credit card fraud Wednesday in the 600 block of Mocksville Avenue.

• A man reported Thursday that someone stole items from his vehicle while it was parked in the Harris Teeter parking lot.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports

• A man reported a stolen pressure washer Tuesday in the 500 block of Red Leaf Lane, China Grove.

• Krista Marie Freeman, 25, was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor simple assault in the 2600 block of London Road, Mooresville.
