The town of Faith sponsored its annual street dance on Main Street on Saturday evening.

The road was closed to through traffic and hundreds of people sat in folding chairs and listened to Salisbury country band Wayward Reason perform on a new stage built by members of the Faith Fire Department.

The dance served as a kickoff to the Faith Fourth of July celebration, which includes concerts by the Randy Clay Band on Friday, Too Much Sylvia on Saturday and the Embers on Monday; the Faith Idol competition on Saturday; and a parade on July 4.
