For the immediate future and to ensure a diversity of opinions, the Salisbury Post will ask that letters to the editor and submitted columns directly concern developments in the city’s conversations about the Confederate monument in downtown known as “Fame” rather than general opinions about the monument and its history. 

Any items already submitted that concern the monument generally will be printed in the order they were received.
