Letter: Traffic issue could cause tragedy on Stokes Ferry Road

Published 12:00 am Sunday, June 2, 2019

I am writing in regards to the traffic issue at the crossroads of Liberty and Stokes Ferry roads when school is letting out.

People park on the highway from the school all the way down Stokes Ferry Road. If you are coming from Salisbury, you have to get in the other lane to pass. There is a hill there and you cannot see. There have been several wrecks.

The other day, trucks from Trexler Trucking couldn’t even turn onto Liberty Road because of the cars.

This is a tragedy waiting to happen. Where is the Highway Patrol when you need it? These people are on the right of way.

Is there nothing that can be done? Why are these kids not riding buses like we had to?

Help!
