Letter: Let Facebook know displeasure

Leonard Pitts’ article published Thursday (“Facebook shows true colors by letting video stand”) talked about the badness of the decision to allow deceitful information.
Facebook was played by Russia and its bots in the 2016 election, and it is not cleaning up its activity now. Knowingly allowing the badly doctored video of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to stand and continue to run on Facebook leaves open users and the platform to further bad stuff from Russia and others.
Pitts gave several ways to oppose the Facebook decision. I choose to add another way.
I looked up the information about Facebook and I have already emailed to let the company know my displeasure. I will also telephone Facebook, located in California, to tell the company of my displeasure with such policies. A letter could also be written.
A barrage of complaints is always a good means to protest.
Thank you, Leonard Pitts, for your vigilance and good reporting.
