A registered sex offender has been arrested while another is still being sought, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.

Shane Steven Hobart, 21, was added to the most-wanted list earlier this week along with Ervin Lee Owens, 52.

Hobart was arrested Tuesday evening by deputies in Rockwell.

Owens is 5 foot 7 inches tall and weighs 280 pounds. He was last known to be in the Salisbury area.

Officials said both men moved from the address where they were registered without notifying the Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information on Owens should contact Lt. Chad Moose at 704-216-8687, Detective Greg Bacote at 704-216-8772 or CrimeStoppers at 866-639-5245.
