The closure on Fish Pond Road is now scheduled for Monday April 15 through Thursday April 18.  The job may be extended through Monday April 22, depending on the weather and other circumstances.

The Department of Transportation will need to close the road in order to replace a storm drain culvert that crosses under the roadway.  The structure has failed, and storm runoff water is not passing under the roadway correctly.  It is essential that this pipe is repaired in order to prevent damage to the roadway and adjacent properties.

The closure will be on Fish Pond Road SR number 2309.  The location is between Brown Acres Road and Deerfield Drive.  The GPS coordinates for the pipe are N 35.6134, W 80.4185.  The nearest address is 4935 Fish Pond Road.

The road will be closed starting Monday at 7:30 a.m. and will remain closed for the duration of the work.  Broken pavement may remain for a few days after the work is completed. The work will take four working days.
