Miller’s Ferry Fire Department rescued a woman Tuesday morning after she became stuck in the mud near the York Hill Yadkin River boat access at the Rowan-Davidson county line.

Firefighters were called about noon to help the woman, who had been walking along the water. Firefighters were able to free her from the mud within 20 minutes. She was not injured.
