Blotter: Teen charged with drug possession during probation search

SALISBURY — A Salisbury teenager was charged with felony marijuana possession after police officers went with a probation officer to assist with a search.

The Salisbury Police Department on Wednesday charged Dominique Markeise Cook, 18, of the 1300 block of Larchmont Place, with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture a Schedule VI substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cook remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.

In other Police Department reports:

• A man reported Wednesday that his license plate was stolen from his vehicle in the 700 block of South Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.

• A man reported Wednesday that someone stole items from his vehicle in the 600 block of West Council Street.

• A man reported an assault Wednesday in the 700 block of Elm Street.

• A man reported an assault Wednesday in the 1200 block of Camp Road.

• Kylin De’koa Lewis, 16, was charged Tuesday with felony motor vehicle theft at Walmart.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

• Carolina Builders of Cabarrus Inc. reported a burglary Tuesday in the 1800 block of Seventh Street.

• A woman reported a burglary Tuesday in the 500 block of Gheen Road.

• A simple assault was reported Tuesday in the 700 block of Cedar Glen Circle, Cleveland.

• A woman reported Tuesday that her husband punched and kicked her in the 5900 block of Old Beatty Ford Road, Rockwell.

• Benjamin Thomas Cline, 29, was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance Schedule VI in the 700 block of Barringer Road.

• James Michael Green, 43, was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor assault on a female in the 700 block of Cedar Glen Circle, Cleveland.

• Stephanie Lee McDonald, 38, was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor simple assault at the Rowan County Magistrate’s Office.

• Thomas Heath Jordan, 44, was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia in the 200 block of Lentz Road, China Grove.
