Salisbury-Rowan SilverArts hosts annual extravaganza

On March 15th, Salisbury-Rowan SilverArts hosted its 36th annual SilverArts Extravaganza Show.

For 36 years, Rowan County participants have been displaying their talents in visual, heritage, literary and performing arts. While the artists and artwork change throughout the years, the level of professionalism and passion remain strong.

This year’s show drew more than 150 art pieces, including some new talent. Seven performing acts also competed for the best in show. Awards were given for bronze, silver and gold for the categories. The conclusion of the show brought an auction during which baked entries were auctioned. Proceeds provide a small stipend in the form of book scholarship fund for interns.
