Practical strategies for dealing with chronic pain of all sorts, from back and neck pain to fibromyalgia to neuropathic pain, are the subject of a series of workshops at Trinity Oaks.
“Living Healthy With Chronic Pain” is sponsored by Rufty-Holmes Senior Center and the Centralina Area Agency on Aging. The workshops will be held in the Trinity Oaks private dining room from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays starting March 20 and ending April 24.
The series will help participants take control of health conditions by teaching them how to manage symptoms, communicate effectively with health care professionals, reduce frustration, and fight fatigue and depression. Participants will also learn to use medications appropriately and how exercise can help them improve strength, endurance and flexibility.
The workshops are free, but space is limited to 15 participants. Call 704-216-7701 by Friday to register.
Trinity Oaks is at 728 Klumac Road.
