SALISBURY — A Salisbury man wanted on a number of offenses, some of which are more than a year old, was arrested after police officers kicked in his apartment door.

Bobby Louis Rich, 36, of the 800 block of Maupin Avenue, was charged Monday with misdemeanor resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer.

He also had outstanding warrants from Feb. 13 for misdemeanor assault on a female and resisting an officer; from Feb. 17, 2018, for felony obtaining property by false pretenses; and from Oct. 24 for failure to appear in court.

Officers approached the residence about 7 p.m. Monday and saw Rich peek out the door, then close it. Officers repeatedly called for Rich to come out, but he did not. Officers surrounded the house and kicked in the exterior door of the duplex.

Rich surrendered without further resistance.

Rich was held in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $9,000 secured bond.
