Gospel Singers of Files Chapel anniversary
LEXINGTON — The Gospel Singers of Files Chapel Baptist Church, 900 Dixie St., will be celebrating their anniversary beginning Saturday at 6 p.m. and concluding Sunday at 2:30 p.m. All choirs, groups and soloists are welcome to participate. Rev. John Cade is host pastor.

Root of David Church of Deliverance
The Root of David Church of Deliverance, 1315 Short St. (off Long St.), holds services in the Zeta Building every Sunday at 4 p.m. with the exception of first Sundays.

Love Christian Center Homecoming Sunday
EAST SPENCER — Love Christian Center, 102 N. Long St., is hosting homecoming on Sunday. Pastor Joyce Simpson will speak at the 10 a.m. service and Johnny York at 4 p.m.
Pastor Simpson is founding pastor of New Birth Outreach Ministries International, Lexington, alongside founding member Erica Watson and Joyce’s husband Kenneth Simpson.
Pastor Joyce and the late Vanzie Walker were founding members of Love Christian Center. Pastor Simpson is the director of Children 1st Early Learning Center in Salisbury.
Dr. Johnny L. York is the senior pastor of Praise Assembly Church Ministries in Winston-Salem. He was the first Director of Financial Aid at the now Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in Salisbury. He has a Doctor of Optometry degree.

Lakeview Baptist Church holds revival
KANNAPOLIS — Rev. Steve Clifton, will lead revival services at Lakeview Baptist Church, 2532 Lane St. on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Services continue nightly through Wednesday, March 6 at 6 p.m.

Carson Honors Chorus at Grace Lower Stone
ROCKWELL — On Sunday the Carson High School Honors Chorus will present a program of inspirational music at the 11 a.m. service of Grace Lower Stone Reformed Church located at the intersection of Lower Stone Church and Old Beatty Ford Roads. The Chorus’ musical offering will be the finale of Grace Lower Stone’s celebration of the season of Epiphany. The Chorus is under the direction of Megan Wyatt. Brian Russell is interim pastor and Kevin Sloop is music director.

John Calvin Presbyterian installation service
The service of installation for Rev. Laura Kate Morrison will take place at John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 1620 Brenner Ave., on Sunday at 3 p.m.
Rev. Morrison comes to John Calvin from her home town of Statesville after serving as associate pastor for youth and young adults at the First Wyoming United Presbyterian Church in Torrington, Wyo.
Participating in at the installation service will be Rev. Dr. Dominique A. Robinson from Duluth, Ga.; Rev. Paul Sink; Salem Presbytery’s Elder Dianna Wright; Rev. Bryan McFarland; Rev. Lara Musser Gritter; and Elders Sarah Davis and Sammie Hinshaw.
There will be special music by the JCPC Choir and members of Rev. Morrison’s family.
A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall.

Erwin Temple Rainblow Tea
WOODLEAF — The Missionary Society of Erwin Temple CME Church, 155 Erwin Temple Church Road, will hold its annual Rainbow Tea Sunday at 3 p.m. Four colors of the Rainbow will be represented.
The Missionary women will work in groups with the colors Red, Purple, Orange and Green. Each group will present a talent during the afternoon. Following the program, dinner will be served in the fellowship hall. Rev. Ervin L. Hannah Jr. is host pastor.

Appreciation service at God’s Will Be Done
God’s Will Be Done Ministry, 1401 Bringle Ferry Road, will host an appreciation service for Sis. Renee Rankins at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Speaker for the service will be Evangelist Vivian McBride, first lady of True Word Church of God in Christ in Pageland, S.C. A meal will be served at 3 p.m.
Host pastor is Randolph Melton.

Free community dinner at FUMC-CG
CHINA GROVE — First UMC China Grove, 110 W Church St., hosts a free community dinner Sundays at 4 p.m. followed by praise, worship and Bible study at 4:30 p.m.

Revival at Union Chapel
LINWOOD — Union Chapel AME Zion Church, 4329 Sowers Road, will host its Community Revival beginning Monday, March 4, and continuing Tuesday, March 5 and Thursday, March 7. There is no Wednesday service.
On Monday Rev. David Wooten of Lakeview Baptist Church in Linwood will be the speaker; Tuesday is Rev. Vern Kinard of St. Luke Lutheran Church of Tyro and Thursday is Rev. Terry Smith of Smith Grove Baptist Church in Churchland.
Each service will begin at 7 p.m. Rev Michael Frencher Jr. is host pastor.

Purpose Driven Life classes
Purpose Driven Life classes are hosted by In My Father’s House, led by Rev. Roosevelt Jenkins. They are held from 10-11 a.m. on the first and second Thursday of each month, at Brookdale Assisted Living, 2201 Statesville Blvd. The next study dates are March 7 and 14.

The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) of Christ Episcopal Church, Old US Hwy 70, will sponsor a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. in the fellowship hall. The meal includes bacon and sausage. A freewill offering will be accepted. Rev. Sarah Blaies is host vicar.

Luther’s Lutheran
RICHFIELD — Luther’s Lutheran Church, at the corner of Stokes Ferry and Richfield Roads, will host a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on March 5 at 6 p.m.

St. Paul’s Episcopal
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 930 S. Main St.. hosts a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on March 5 at 5:30 p.m.

Mt. Tabor UMC
Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, just north of Ellis Park on Old Mocksville Road, hosts a free Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m.
