A parcel of land between Dunkin’ Donuts and and a Speedway gas station on Jake Alexander Boulevard will be the home of a Jiffy Lube Service Center.

The answer comes in response to a reader question about construction on the property at 721 Jake Alexander Blvd. W. in Salisbury.

Once built, the Jiffy Lube Service Center will perform basic maintenance for vehicles, including oil changes, safety inspections and battery changes. The maintenance shop will be a 3,460-square-foot building.

Zoning permits to allow for the business were approved and issued July 25. Previously, the site was a “U-Wash It” carwash.

Jiffy Lube has more than 2,000 locations nationwide.
