Catawba athletics: Schedule changes

   From Catawba sports information

The weekend weather has resulted in changes in the Catawba athletic schedule. The only home event that will be played is baseball, which has shifted to a Sunday-Monday series.

Baseball
Catawba and Wingate have postponed games on Friday and Saturday. The teams will hopefully take the field on Sunday at 3 pm for a doubleheader and finish the series on Monday at 2 pm.

Softball
The home game with Emmanuel on Sunday has been postponed to March 17 for a 1 pm doubleheader. The Feb. 19 postponed doubleheader with Belmont Abbey has been rescheduled for March 12 at 1 pm.

Tennis
Catawba postponed its matches for Feb. 21 and 22. The matches with Mount Olive on the 22nd have been moved to March 14 at 2 pm. A Lees-McRae make up date will be set later.

Women’s Lacrosse
Catawba was scheduled to travel to Chowan on Saturday, but that game has been postponed. A likely April reschedule date will be set later.
