A North Carolina Department of Transportation contractor will close Interstate 85 southbound on the N.C. 152 ramp from midnight to 6 a.m. Thursday and Friday.

A detour route will be N.C. 152 to I-85 North to Webb Road (Exit 70). At the top of the ramp, drivers should make a left onto Webb Road, travel 1,000 feet, then take a left onto I-85 southbound.

DOT maintenance crews will close Scercy Road (State Road 1346) from Feb. 18 through 22 to replace two storm drain culverts that cross under the road.

The locations are between Old Concord Road and Lentz Road. The GPS coordinates for the first pipe are N 35.5399, W 80.5393.  The nearest address is 1070 Scercy Road.

The GPS coordinates for the second pipe are N 35.5412, W 80.5291. The nearest address is 380 Scercy Road.

The road will be closed both day and night for the duration of the work.

The detour route will be Old Concord Road to Old Beatty Ford Road to Lentz Road and Scercy Road.

The alternate dates for this job are Feb. 25 through March 1.
