GRANITE QUARRY — The town of Granite Quarry wants to give parents a date night.

The second annual “Parents Night Out” will be offered from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Feb. 15 at Town Hall. The town is inviting parents to drop their kids off at Town Hall during that time period while they have a date night.

“Kids who are potty-trained through 10 years old are welcome,” the town’s event staff reports. “Rest assured, we have plenty for them to do in a safe environment, such as crafts, movies and exploring firetrucks.”

All volunteers who are helping at Parents Night Out are background-checked and “hand-picked to care for your little ones,” the town said.

There is limited space. Shelly Shockley told the Board of Aldermen on Monday night that as many as 15 children can be accommodated.

Parents may sign up for Parents Night Out at Town Hall or by calling 704-279-5596.
