More road closings this week and next

The I-85 contractor will have a nighttime right lane closure on I-85 just south of mile marker 68 from Feb. 7 through 10.

In addition to the lane closure, the contractor will also close down the I-85 southbound on ramp from N.C. 152  on Feb 7,  8, 9 and 10 from midnight to 6 a.m.

 Detour route: Take N.C. 152 to I-85 north to Webb Road (exit 70). At the top of the ramp, make a left onto Webb Road. Travel 1,000 feet, then take a left onto I-85 southbound.

N.C. DOT maintenance will close Artz Road (SR2319) from Feb. 11 to 15 in order to replace a storm drain culvert that crosses under the road. 

The locations are between Faith Road and Mount Hope Church Road. The GPS coordinates are N 35.5726, W 80.4615.  The nearest address is 2530 Artz Road. 

The road will be closed both day and night for the duration of the work.   

The detour route will be Faith Road / Brown Street / Mount Hope Church Road / Artz Road. Below is a link showing the detour route.

 The alternate dates for this job are during the dates of Feb. 18-22.

N.C. DOT maintenance will close Emanuel Church Road (SR2338) from Feb. 11 to 15 in order to replace three storm drain culverts that cross under the road. 

The locations are between Old Beatty Ford Road and Shade Valley Road. The GPS coordinates are N 35.5111, W 80.3857.  The nearest address is 3047 Emanuel Church Road. 

The road will be closed both day and night for the duration of the work. 

 The detour route will be Old Beatty’s Ford Road  / Rockwell Road (Rowan) / Emanuel Road (Cabarrus) / Kluttz Road (Cabarrus) / Mt Olive Road (Cabarrus) / Emanuel Church Road (Rowan).  Below is a link showing the detour route.
