Rowan Young Republicans welcome Whiteford, Trotman to meeting

SALISBURY — Catherine Whiteford and Nora Trotman were guests last Thursday of the Rowan County Young Republicans, who met at Hendrix Barbecue on West Innes Street.
Vincent Spillman led the meeting.
Whiteford is the national committeewoman of the N.C. Federation of Young Republicans, serving on the N.C. GOP staff. she also was the 2018 Republican candidate in N.C. House District 34.
Trotman, of Mecklenburg County, was the 2018 Republican candidate in N.C. Senate District 37 and is a leader in the N.C. Young Republicans organization.
The Rowan County Young Republicans provide opportunities for young Republicans to develop leadership skills, interact with elected officials and candidates, and support party events.
The Young Republicans meet on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. The next meeting will be Feb. 11 at Hendrix Barbecue on West Innes Street.
