SALISBURY — Two Salisbury men are charged with assaulting another man after he gave away their marijuana, police said.

Leslie Wendell-Stefon Felder, 21, and Tyree Elijahjuan Badger, 26, both of the 300 block of Ferndale Drive, were charged with misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury and misdemeanor simple assault.

The assault occurred about 8:45 p.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of Stanley Street. The victim said Felder put marijuana in his refrigerator but he didn’t want it there, so he gave it away to get it out of his house.

Felder found out and beat the victim with a chair. When the chair broke, Badger grabbed the leg and beat the victim as well. The victim had injuries to his head, the Salisbury Police Department reported.

Felder and Badger left the home. Badger was found about 1 a.m. Friday walking near Stanley and Elm streets. Felder was arrested at the Stanley Street house.

The victim was treated at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center and released.

Badger remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond. Felder remains jailed under a $5,000 secured bond.
