A Sunday column by Dylan Frick  (“Hudson should voice funding concerns”) conveniently omits the fact that Republicans tried to pay federal employees and only received eight Democrat votes.

Democrats were opposed because they claim to care about this country (think of the children), but they refuse to protect us and our children from the influx of unknown elements (MS-13 for example) entering with other illegal aliens and criminals. They try to claim illegal aliens and criminals are a small number, contrary to fact. Take a look a drunk driving fatalities. Democrats won’t because the more illegals allowed to cut in line to get citizenship the more votes they get.

They have no concern for the risk these people put themselves and their children in by trying to enter the country.
