N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close Phaniel Church Road (State Road 2569) between Jan. 28 and Feb. 1 to replace a storm drain culvert under the road. 

 The location is about a half mile south of Old Beatty Ford Road. The GPS coordinates are N 35.5049 W 80.5032. The road will be closed day and night for the duration of the work, anticipated to take four working days. 

 The detour route will be Rimertown Road in Rowan County to Phaniels Church Road in Cabarrus County, to Pless Road, Sapp Road, and back to Phaniel Church Road. This link shows the detour route: https://goo.gl/maps/QLYErjHBkFv.

The alternate dates for the job are Feb. 4-8.

DOT crews also will close Emanuel Church Road (State Road 2338) between Jan. 28 and Feb. 1 to replace a storm drain culvert. The location is about a half mile north of Old Beatty Ford Road. The GPS coordinates are N 35.5220 W 80.3854. 

The road will be closed day and night for the duration of the work.
