Steppin’ Out Social Club donates to Christmas Happiness

SALISBURY — It was the perfect time for the members of the Steppin’ Out Social Club to contribute to the Christmas Happiness Fund.

The social group has been in the area for more than 12 years and has often given to the fund in years past, said President Mary Helen Corpening.

“We like to try to help out in the community when needed and thought this was a perfect time,” Corpening said.

The club is a diverse group who socializes, but also enjoys giving back to the community. They’ve given to other organizations, including the Salvation Army and Rowan Helping Ministries.

“We like to step out there to try and make a difference in the community,” Corpening said.

Contributions to the Christmas Happiness Fund may be delivered to the Salisbury Post, 131 W. Innes St., between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays or mailed to Salisbury Post Christmas Happiness Fund, P.O. Box 4639, Salisbury, NC 28145-4639. Please make checks payable to Christmas Happiness and indicate how you want your donation listed.
