Letter: School closings back on agenda

My dad, Michael Julian, warned everybody that this would reappear, and nobody listened. People who voted these people back in have no say in this because you helped recreate this horrible thing.
The county needs to focus on getting teachers in our schools that want to stay. I had three classes at East where I didn’t have a teacher for the whole semester, and I among many others suffered the lack of education.
The county’s test scores are a direct reflection that we need to do something different. Merging schools with larger class sizes is not gonna help students get the individualized learning they need to succeed. I have had to work extra hard in college because Rowan Salisbury Schools did not prepare me.
It’s disappointing and sad that this is happening again. This is not the answer.
