Rowan weather: Cold day for shopping

It is a mighty cold morning for Black Friday shopping, with the 7:30 a.m. temperature at 31 degrees.

Today will be mostly cloudy to start, then gradually become sunny. The high will be 42, with east northeast wind at 8 mph.

Tonight, an 80 percent chance of rain moves in after midnight. Expect patchy fog after 2 a.m. The low will be 35, with northeast wind around 8 mph. A quarter to half inch of rain is possible.

Saturday the 90 percent chance of rain will be mainly before 11 a.m., with patchy fog before 1 p.m. The high will be 49, with north northeast wind around 6 mph. A half to three quarters of an inch of rain is expected.

Saturday night will be partly cloudy and 35, with west northwest wind at 3-5 mph.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and 60, with calm wind in the morning, becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon. Then we’ll have a 50 percent chance of showers Sunday night, mainly after 8 p.m.  It will be mostly cloudy and 44.

Monday has just a 30 percent chance of showers before 1 p.m. It will be mostly sunny and 56. The low will be 31, with clear skies.

Tuesday will be cold again, with a high of 48 and mostly sunny skies. Tuesday night will be clear and cold, with a low of 28.

Wednesday will be sunny and 46 with a low of 30 under partly cloudy skies.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and 50.
