Toys for Tots collection
Through Dec. 2 individuals are invited to donate new, unwrapped toys at The Sharonview Federal Credit Union Salisbury branch, 501 N. Main St. Toys for Tots was founded in 1947 and is run by the United States Marine Corps. For more information, visit www.toysfortots.org

Town of Granite Quarry food drive
Through December bring non-perishable foods for local shelters and food banks. All donations stay in this area. Jerusalem Baptist honors deacons, deaconesses
Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1570 N. Long St., Ext., will host its annual Deacon, Deaconess and Trustee Day on Sunday during the 11 a.m., service with Minister Lawrence B. Costner as speaker. Minister Costner is associate minister at East White Oak Baptist Church in Greensboro. He is a graduate of Shaw Divinity School and Hampton University. The combined mass choir will provide music under the direction of Keith Holland.
All auxiliaries are asked to wear the appropriate attire.

Anchor Baptist Church celebrates Thanksgiving
CHINA GROVE — Anchor Baptist Church on Hwy 152 will be meeting for its 11 a.m. Sunday service at the Pine Ridge Baptist Church fellowship building, 880 Old Linn Road. Following the morning service will be a Thanksgiving celebration meal and fellowship.
