Salisbury Academy honored the men and women who have served their country at the annual Veterans Day Chapel last Thursday.

Led by students, the service paid tribute to veterans through patriotic songs, reflection and prayer. After a presentation of the colors by the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard and a message by Lt. Col. Greg Skelly on the history and significance of Veterans Day, students, faculty, staff and parents shook the hands of veterans present and thanked each one.

Students gave the veterans colorful cards that they made with messages that said, “Thank you for your service. We love our veterans.”
