Power in Partnership breakfast is Thursday

SALISBURY — Frank Emory, chairman of the board of the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, will be the speaker at Thursday’s Power in Partnership breakfast.

The breakfast will be at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Oaks. The deadline to reserve a spot is 5 p.m. today.

Emory is a partner, co-head of the litigation and labor group, and managing partner of the Charlotte office of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm with 1,000 lawyers. He also practices in the firm’s Washington office. He was an Angier B. Duke Scholar at Duke University. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law on a Morehead Law Fellowship.

He began his legal career as a law clerk to the Judge Charles Becton of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. He began his work in private practice at the Chambers Ferguson Watt Wallace Atkins & Fuller firm in Charlotte, where he was elected partner. In 1990, he joined the firm of Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson as a partner in the litigation section. He joined Hunton Andrews Kurth, then known as Hunton & Williams, in June 2001 as a partner.
