HICKORY, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne football team earned the No. 3 seed in Super Regional 2 and will host No. 6 seed Florida Tech in the opening round of the NCAA Division II NCAA Playoffs on Saturday at Moretz Stadium. Game time will be announced on Monday.
The Bears are riding a 10-game winning streak and went undefeated in South Atlantic Conference play at 7-0. This marks the Bears first trip to the playoffs since 2014 where LR fell to Valdosta St.
Should the Bears defeat Florida Tech in the opening round, they would play the winner of No. 2 seed West Georgia and No. 7 seed Wingate.
