Letter: How about it, city?

Published 9:45 pm Wednesday, November 7, 2018

I have been a member of the senior softball organization for approximately 12 years, and in all that time the city has been paying rent for two porta potties at the sports complex on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. All the cities we visit to play have secure restrooms for players and fans.

The porta potties are opened to the public 24/7 and at times too nasty to use. Can the city afford to build a proper restroom? They had enough funds to put some marble-looking features on Long Street near the public pool.

A little help will be appreciated. Thanks for this tool to voice one’s plea.
