On the ballot was the right to hunt and fish. Really? God made all the oceans, lakes, rivers and land; it never belongs to us anyway. It amazes me that politicians come up with laws to tax people in certain ways. The average person with a fishing rod does no damage to millions of fish in the ocean or pond. A catch limit? Makes great sense if you catch three out of several million. I would enforce the guy with the shrimp boat with the net.
I will never purchase a fishing license, as God gave me my right to fish, not Raleigh. I would think before too long, we will need to put a quarter in a bathroom door at the rest area.
Great job, Raleigh — shows me you’re wanting to take more rights from the people. I would ask a fourth grader, is it a right to fish? I do not think it’s a question for an adult. Archie Tucker
