Henderson Grove celebrates 206 years
Henderson Grove Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 206th church anniversary on Sunday. The congregation was organized in 1812. The 11 a.m. speaker is Rev. Perry J. Dye, pastor. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m. The 3 p.m. speaker will be the Rev. Marcus L. Fairley, pastor of St. Luke Baptist Church .

Oak Grove pastor anniversary

Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1920 Shirley Ave., will celebrate the 26th Pastoral Appreciation Celebration of Rev. Dr. Nilous M. Avery II and First Lady Nicole Hill Avery on Sunday at 11 a.m.
Rev. William H. Clayton II, pastor of Saint James Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson, is guest speaker. Rev. Clayton holds degrees from Shaw University Divinity School, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Virginia Union School of Theology, Richmond.
Dr. Avery is currently completing his tenure as the 32nd president of the General Baptist State Convention of N.C.
Music will be rendered by the combined Sanctified Sisters & Men of Majesty Choirs. Dinner will be served after the service.

Rainbow Tea at Rose of Sharon

Evangelist Marlin was called into the ministry in 1979 and is licensed and ordained to preach. She is married to Rev. Clarence E. Marlin, pastor of Fairview Heights.

Susong Installation Service
The installation service for Pastor C. Eric Susong of Mt. Calvary Holy Church will be Sunday, at 4 p.m.
