SALISBURY — The Salisbury Parks and Recreation Department is seeking feedback on the future of programming and facilities at an open house from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The open house will be at 1 Water St. and will have a drop-in format.

LandDesign, a national planning services firm, and The Kelly Group, a park planning consultant, will update the city’s parks and recreation master plan.

The planning guide will set recreation goals in Salisbury, focusing on community resources; parks, recreation and open-space criteria; community needs concerning parks, recreation and greenways; and action steps for implementation.

“Our open house is a chance for our citizens to give their input on future recreation programming and facility needs,” said Nick Aceves, parks and recreation director. “We look forward to engaging with the public over the next several months as we work with LandDesign and The Kelly Group on planning our department’s future.”
