Lyerly Evangelical mission conference
ROCKWELL — Lyerly Evangelical Church, 1320 Crescent Road, is holding its annual missions conference, headlined by Bass Pro angler Clifton Bradley of Swannanoa.
Today Bradley will be at the Saleeby-Fisher YMCA for a community outreach event. There will be free hot dogs, a drawing for a $100 Bass Pro gift card, fishing games with prizes for kids, and music by Brad Treece and John Rainey.
The 11 a.m. Sunday service will feature Bradley and Ken Dees, also of Swannanoa, and Alyce Lentz will sing.
Dr. W.C. Gaither Jr. is host pastor.

S-R Missionary Union Youth Round Up
Saturday is SRCMU Youth Round Up at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Lunch is at noon.
The Bible Bowl will begin at 11 a.m. Churches are invited to bring their youth choir and dance teams.
The SRCMU executive board meeting will be held immediately after the Youth Round Up Event.
On Sunday, the Salisbury-Rowan County Missionary Union 5th Sunday service will be at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Nilous Avery as host pastor. Classes begin at 4:30 p.m. led by Rev. Dr. Barbara Hart and Brother Keith Hart. Business session is 5:30 p.m. and worship will begin at 6 p.m. with Dr. Leamon E. Brown of First Calvary Baptist Church in charge of the service.

Fairview Heights outreach ministry
Fairview Heights Missionary Baptist Church outreach ministry will be at Brightmoor Nursing Center, 610 W. Fisher St., at 2 p.m. Saturday. Speaker: Minister Faye Howell.

Landis church celebrates 100th anniversary
LANDIS — First Reformed Church, 210 N. Central Ave., will celebrate its 100th anniversary this weekend with two special services. On Saturday at 6:30 p.m. is Dinner on the Grounds. Bring a covered dish, lawn chair and blanket. During the meal there will be entertainment and sharing.
Worship Under the Stars will follow and will include lighting of memorial luminaries placed around the sanctuary. Participating guests include Rev. Eric Disher (former pastor), Rev. Hunter Fuller (former youth pastor), and Rev. Richard Myers (former associate and youth pastor).
On Sunday a special service will be held at 11 a.m. with music by The Voices of Joy choir, a time of remembrance and thanksgiving, and a message by Rev. David Franks, host pastor.

Maranatha Bible Church hosts Bruce Woodman
pic Bruce Woodman, international evangelist, will speak Sunday at 10 a.m. at Maranatha Bible Church, 2320 Statesville Blvd.
Impact International, under Woodman’s leadership, proclaims the Gospel throughout Central and South America with city-wide crusades, television and radio ministries.

Homecoming at Rockwell UMC
ROCKWELL —On Sunday at 10 a.m., Rockwell United Methodist Church located on Hwy 52, will celebrate homecoming beginning at 10 a.m.. Rev. Tangela Cameron, Hospice chaplain in Iredell County and former Ministry Coordinator of Rockwell UMC will be guest pastor. Special music will be provided by Darrell Connor, Rockwell Chancel Choir and Rockwell UMC Handbell Choir.
A covered dish meal will follow.

Holy Eucharist celebration at St. Paul’s
The Rt. Rev. Anne Hodges-Copple, bishop suffragan of of the diocese of North Carolina, will celebrate Holy Eucharist Rite II on Sunday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Chestnut Hill, 930 S. Main St. The service is at 10:30 a.m., followed by a reception in the parish hall.

Homecoming at Mount Zion UCC
CHINA GROVE — During the 10:30 a.m. service, Mt. Zion UCC, 1415 S. Main St., will celebrate homecoming Sunday, featuring a celebration of its 50-year “Golden Members.” A covered dish dinner will follow.
