Rowan weather: Fall brings clouds, cooler temps

For the first week of fall, we’ll have slightly cooler temperatures and a chance of rain tonight through Friday.

It’s a misty start to the day, with fog in some areas. It will be cloudy and 75, with northeast wind at 5-7 mph.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy and 65, with a 30 percent chance of showers before 10 p.m., followed by rain until 11 p.m. Patchy fog will form after 10. East northeast wind of 6 mph will calm after midnight.

Tuesday will start with a 20 percent chance of rain before 9, then a chance of showers. Patchy fog is a possibility. It will be mostly cloudy and 81, with light east wind.

Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy and 67, with calm wind.

Wednesday will be partly sunny and 84, with a 60 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms likely after 9 a.m. Wind will be from the southwest at 5-9 mph.

Wednesday night will also have a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, tapering off around 3 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 67.

Thursday’s chance of rain is 70 percent, with showers and thunderstorms before 7 a.m., then showers and isolated thunderstorms between 7 and 10 a.m. Then more showers and thunderstorms after that. It will be mostly cloudy and 80.

Thursday night will be mostly cloudy with a low of 66 and a 60 percent chance of showers and storms before 1 a.m., then showers.

Friday will be mostly cloudy and 82, with a 40 percent chance of showers before 3 p.m. Friday night will still be mostly cloudy, with a low of 62.

Saturday will be partly sunny and 79. Saturday night will be partly cloudy and 61.
