Rowan Chamber reaches campaign goal

SALISBURY — The Rowan Chamber of Commerce exceeded their goal for the “Be the Voice — ’60s Style” campaign.

The chamber’s goal was to add 50 new members and reach $17,500 in new member investments. During the 30-day campaign, they gained 52 new members and their new member investment was $18,900, making their total investments more than $53,000.

“We are proud of all our volunteers who worked so hard in the Campaign. The chamber is the voice for the entire business community” said Nicole Holmes Matangira, who is the chair-elect of the chamber and is with Holmes Metal and Matangira Recycling. “We represent a diverse group of business owners and managers.”

Bill Easterling, with Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, was the top producer, totaling 19,053 points. Easterling won a vacation package worth more than $2,500. Donna Grace, with Trinity Oaks, was the second top producer, and Adam Shepherd, with Whole Home Broadband Solutions, was the third top producer.

The top team was Trinity Oaks.

Volunteers won prizes donated from chamber member firms.
