Monday closings and delays

• North Hills Christian School is closed today.

• The Rufty-Holmes Senior Center and all Rowan County lunch sites will be closed today, Sept. 17. Staff will be answering phone messages to respond to any needs.

• Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Salisbury Alumnae chapter meeting that was scheduled Saturday, Sept. 15 will now be Saturday, Sept. 22, 10 a.m.

• Catawba College officials plan to reopen and resume all classes on a normal schedule on Tuesday, The college is closed and all day and evening classes are canceled today.

• N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles offices in most of the state will be closed today due to Hurricane Florence. Both the Salisbury office on South Main Street and the Lexington office are closed today.

NCDMV’s main call center, located in Bladen County, closed last week. Calls are being directed to other areas of North Carolina, where call centers are operating with limited staff. Customers may experience longer wait times when calling the Customer Service Center.
