SALISBURY — Rowan County authorities are looking for a 44-year-old Salisbury woman who hasn’t been seen by her family and friends in about a week.

Stacy Samantha Jethroe, of 355 York Road, was reported missing at 9:30 p.m. Sunday. She was last seen about noon Sept. 5 after she left work for lunch. Authorities say they have video at the Rite Aid drug store in China Grove on Sept. 5 at about 12:28pm.

Her ex-boyfriend said the two broke up Aug. 31 and he was moving out of the home they shared.

He told investigators this is not the first time Jethroe has left home for a few days but it is the first time she has been gone so long without contacting family or friends.

Family members contacted friends out of state to ask if they had heard from Jethroe and none had, a report said.

Jethroe weighs 150 pounds and is 5 feet 8 inches tall. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Friends say she was last seen wearing a T-shirt and jeans and has a large octopus tattoo on her right arm.

She drives a gray 2014 Honda Civic with the license plate TPD 9498.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Stacy Samantha Jethroe is asked to contact Rowan County sheriff’s Detective Chad Moose at 704-216-8687 or Detective Kyle Youngo at 704-216-8683.
