SALISBURY — Because of the uncertainty of Hurricane Florence, Rowan Museum has postponed its annual Germanfest, which was scheduled for Saturday at the Old Stone House.

Aaron Kepley, executive director of the museum, said an alternative date in October is being considered.

Meanwhile, the eighth annual Biker Blues & BBQ at Tilley Harley-Davidson will be held Friday and Saturday, with almost 70 teams competing.

Hours are noon to 10:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business event set this week has been canceled.
