During the opening of the local Republican Party headquarters on Tuesday afternoon, Ted Budd stated that, “if we (Republicans) lose the House, the gavel would go to Maxine Waters.”

This is nonsense, of course, but more importantly, it is an example of blatant race-baiting.

On Friday, Rep. Budd will welcome to our region Donald Trump, his master in this ugly game of racial politics.
