WWLTC Ministries Celebrates Friends & Family Day 2018

On Saturday, July 28, Whosoever Will Let Them Come Ministries (WWLTC) hosted their annual Friends & Family Day. This year’s theme was “Letting The World See The Real Church Come Together.” This is 8th year for WWLTC ministries Friends & Family. Bishop Chris Brown said God gave him a vision to bring “The Church” together not the churches, and “The Church” came together.

Churches from surrounding areas were represented in this wonderful GRAND gathering including: OGBC, Mt. Calvary Holy Church (Salisbury), Parsons Grove (Lilesville), New Zion Baptist Church, Moore’s Chapel AME Zion (Salisbury), Blessings of God, Root of David Church of Deliverance (Salisbury), Assembly Lifeline Triumphant (High Point), Assemblies of Christ United (High Point), Fountain of Youth, New Hope Missionary Baptist (Hamlet), New Shepherd Baptist, Sandy Grove, Williams Memorial, No Walls Ministry, Calvary Baptist, St. Stephens Missionary Baptist, Bethpage, Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church (Salisbury), Love & Faith Christian Fellowship (Greensboro) and others.

Bishop Brown preached, liturgical dance was provided by the Victorious Praise Dancers of WWLTC and music was ministered by Sr. Pastor Patricia Brown as well as the Anointed Voices of Praise of WWLTC and Spoken Word selections by Samuel Shellington of Greensboro.

Surrounding retailers and business were very supportive with donations from: Coke (Charlotte), Pepsi (Statesville, Harrisburg and Garner), Walgreens (Salisbury, Cary and Raleigh), KFC (Salisbury), Lowes Foods (Cary & Apex), Food Lion (Concord and Salisbury), Harris Teeter, Flowers Bakery (Salisbury) Sam’s Club (Kannapolis), Campbell Soup and Hendrix Barbecue (Salisbury-Innes) and the Thelma Smith South Branch Foundation. Boone-Carroll Funeral Home and Pre-Paid Legal Services had prize giveaways.

The goal was to celebrate Jesus, fellowship and reach-out to the community both physically and spiritually. WWLTC started as an outreach ministry and is still “reaching-out.” There was more than enough food, fellowship and fun for all.

The event’s theme is based the Scripture in I Corinthians 12:20, “But now are they many members, yet but one body.” It was expressed although the churches located in different areas, all have same job: go out and compel men to come to Jesus.

This event was not about color, church denomination, income, social status, culture or anything else which tends to separate people. This event was truly about coming together as God’s people and reaching-out to a dying world. With the climate in our country right now, we, our community needs more events to bring us together and realize we’re more alike than different. It had the feel of a family reunion.

WWLTC umbrellas several ministries: Behind the Wall (Prison Ministry), Youth Ministry, Marriage & Singles Counseling, Outreach, Men of Valor (Men’s Ministry), Women of Faith (Women’s Ministry), Liturgical Dance, Music Ministry, Intercessory Prayer, Food Pantry, Clothes Closet, Bible Study (Refreshing Wednesdays), Sunday Morning Worship, Morning Glory (Sunday School), Transportation Ministry, etc.
