2018 Miss Fashionetta crowned

Miss Nadia Lindsey, daughter of Tracy Lindsey and the late Alicia Brown, was crowned 2018 Miss Fashionetta during the Salisbury Alumna Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Fashionetta Pageant.
Other participants of the 2018 Fashionetta Pageant were Tiffani Gadson, First Runner-Up, the daughter of Demarte and Shanikka Gadson-Harris and the late Ahmad Bognuda;
Ty’Nesia Chambers, the daughter of Hattie Chambers and Adam Tyree Eberhart;
Kyarra McClellan, the daughter of Judith McClellan;
Linda Hopkins, the daughter of Deandre Hopkins and Desiree Horne;
and Angelique Griffin, the daughter of Quamekia Shavers and Jontai Griffin.
Before the culminating event, the Fashionetta participants were engaged in workshops/seminars that promoted developing self-esteem, character, finer womanhood, social graces and career opportunities.
The Fashionetta Pageant, a fundraising focus of the local chapter, provides funds for the chapter to award scholarships to high school seniors, enhance community projects through contributions and donations, and implement programs that promote the international theme of “Launching New Dimensions of Service.”
Shelia Brown Miller is the chapter’s Fashionetta chairman, Lillian Morgan is program chairman and Sh’Myra Moore is president.
