Local sex offender added to Sheriff’s most wanted list
A sex offender has been added to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office’s most-wanted list.
Grover Todd Sartain, 43, filed to notify authorities that he had changed his address, authorities said Thursday.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to locate Sartain, who is last known to have lived in the China Grove area.
He is described as a white man, 6 feet tall and weighing 240 pounds.
Sartain was convicted in May 2017 of felony assault by strangulation and failing to notify authorities of an address change. He has also been convicted of indecent liberties with a child, traffic infractions that include driving while license revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia and communicating threats.
Anyone with information about Sartain or any others offenders on the most-wanted list is asked to contact Lt. C. Moose at 704-216-8687, Detective G. Bacote at 704-216-8772, or Rowan-Salisbury CrimeStoppers at 866-639-5245.
