As a culmination to the Rowan Museum’s Civil War Camp, come join the 28^th Regiment North Carolina Infantry reactivated. As they “TURN THE CLOCK BACK” at the Rowan Museum at 202 N. Main St. on Saturday July 28 from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Experience this time in history and become involved with American civil war reenactors. The 28^th North Carolina Reactivated is a galvanized unit with superior impressions and authentic portrayals of Union and Confederate soldiers.

Actively participate with these knowledgeable reenactors as they bring to life the sights, sounds and smells of a Civil War camp.  Visitors will experience this era of American history first-hand as they closely inspect a Civil War soldier to see how he is dressed, feel where he is sleeping, and inspect his equipment, his uniform and firearms.   Interpretive and interactive drill demonstrations for children and adults will allow attendees to see and experience how a soldier performed his duty.

Take the opportunity to learn more about the 28^th Regiment North Carolina Infantry Reactivated and how to historically honor all of the men who fought in the War Between the States.

You can become a member of one of the finest and most active reenacting organizations on the east coast. By joining you will have opportunities to participate in Living Histories and Battle reenactments involving both confederate and Union impressions at historic places such as Gettysburg Pa., Ft. Pulaski Savannah Ga, New Market Va, Bentonville NC, Spotsylvania Va, Appomattox, Va, and Petersburg, Va.
