Rowan weather: Sun today, but we might see showers ahead

Are you ready for some rain, finally? Starting Saturday night, we have good chance for showers and thunderstorms at least through Thursday, though not everyone will see rain every day.

Today will be partly sunny and 86, with east northeast wind at 3-8 mph. Tonight, we’ll have a 20 percent chance of showers before midnight, then patchy fog. It will be mostly cloudy and 67, with calming winds.

Saturday will be partly sunny and 89, with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. South southwest wind will be around 6 mph. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible, with higher amounts in thunderstorms.

Saturday night has a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will be mostly cloudy and 68, with calming wind. A half to three quarters of an inch of rain is possible.

Sunday’s chance of showers and thunderstorms will be 60 percent, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 87. Most of the rain will come after 3 p.m. Calm wind will become south around 6 mph in the afternoon. The same chance of rain is possible Sunday night. It will be mostly cloudy and 69.

Monday brings a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will be mostly cloudy and 85. The same chance of rain continues Monday night, with a low of 70 and more mostly cloudy skies.

Tuesday, too, has a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with more clouds and a high of 84.  And there’s a 70 percent chance of more of the same Tuesday night, with a low of 70.

Wednesday won’t be much different, with the same 70 percent chance of showers and storms, mostly cloudy skies and a high of 84. The low will be 70, with a 60 percent chance of showers and storms.

Thursday will also have a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, and still be mostly cloudy, with a high of 86.
