Rowan weather: Rain chances increase this weekend

Today won’t be quite as hot, and the humidity will be a bit lower. We’ll have mostly sunny skies with a high of 87 and east wind at 5-7 mph.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy and 68, with east southeast wind at 3-6 mph.

Friday will be partly sunny and 86, with east wind again at 5-7 mph. We’ll have a 20 percent chance of showers between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., then a slight chance of rain.

Friday night will be mostly cloudy and 67, with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

The weekend won’t be a washout, but we’ll have a better chance of rain starting Saturday, which will be mostly cloudy and 87. Calm winds will become south at 5-7 mph in the afternoon. The chance of showers and thunderstorms will be 70 percent, with rain holding off until after 2 p.m.

The chance of rain Saturday night is also 70 percent, with more showers and storms. The low will be 68 with mostly cloudy skies.

Sunday will have a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10, and then more of the same after 11. It will be partly sunny and 86. The chance of showers and storms goes down to 50 percent Sunday night, with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 69.

Monday will be partly sunny and 86, with a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 4 and 5 p.m. The chance of more storms and showers Monday night will be 50 percent. It will be mostly cloudy and 69.

Tuesday will also have a 60 percent chance of showers and storms. It will be partly sunny and 88. The chance of rain Tuesday night is 50 percent, with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 69.

Wednesday will be partly sunny and 87, with another 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
